• 6-8 c. chopped broccoli
  • 3-4 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. light cream or whole milk
  • 2 c. cooked, diced ham
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1/2 lb swiss cheese, shredded


Cook broccoli and broth in a large covered saucepan for 7 to 8 minutes.  Remove broccoli.  Add cream, ham, seasonings and butter to broth.  Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.  Stir in cheese and broccoli.  Heat but do not boil.
