March is finally here and we are loving all of the sunshine! Things are very busy in the greenhouses! We have a great variety of lettuce and salad mix growing. We have also been getting plants started for the field. The tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, spinach and lettuce are growing well in the greenhouses! We are ready to get started in the field just as soon as the snow goes away and it warms up!

Now is the time to begin thinking about the summer CSA! The details are out and now is the time to sign up. There are several benefits of our CSA program. Eating healthier, learning to eat with the seasons, trying new types of produce, trying new recipes, getting to know your farmer and supporting the local economy. We have several pick up locations available including Holland, Park Township, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Muskegon and Kalamazoo. Several share types and sizes are available including full and half produce shares, full and half meat shares and egg shares are available.  Newsletters are included each week with recipe ideas and updates from the farm.  For more details on the program click here: https://www.lakeshorefamilyfarm.com/services/csa/summer-csa-program/.   If you have any questions please feel free to email lindsey@crispcountryacres.com or give Mitch a call at (616) 218-5760.

Don’t forget our online farm market is now open!  Here is how it works:  Order your produce on Monday and Tuesday.  Stop by the farm on Wednesday’s from 1-7pm to pick up your produce.  It will be bagged and ready for you!  We have a great selection of produce available right now including apples, salad mix, potatoes, carrots, onions and more!  Here is the link: https://www.lakeshorefamilyfarm.com/services/online-farm-stand/.
