• 1 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar

Melt together in a large fry pan over medium high heat until dissolved.

  • 1 pound asparagus (Cut into 2 inch pieces.)

Add and sauté for 2 minutes.

  • ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth

Stir in, bring to a boil, cover and simmer until just tender, 6 – 8 minutes.  Remove asparagus to a warm dish.  Return liquid to a boil and simmer uncovered until sauces is reduced by half, about 5 minutes.  Pour over asparagus, sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds (optional) and serve.
