Spring is officially here! It’s time to enjoy some fresh spring greens.
Here are a few recipe ideas for you:
Crunchy Salad
Ingredients:
- 8 cups lettuce, spinach or microgreens
- 6 slices bacon (fried and crumbled).
- 1/3 cup chow mien noodles
- ¼ cup almonds
- 2 tsp. sesame seeds
- 2/3 cup oil
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbls. White Vinegar
Directions:
- Toss lettuce and bacon in bowl.
- Bake chow mien noodles, almonds and sesame seeds in the oven at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.
- In a jar with lid combine and shake: oil, pepper, sugar, vinegar and salt.
- Just before serving toss all together and add dressing.
Spinach Dip
- 1 c. chopped, cooked spinach
- 1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt or seasoned salt
Directions: Combine and chill. Serve with vegetables or crackers.
