How to cook cauliflower and broccoli: 

Bring one inch of water to a boil. Add 4 c. cauliflower/broccoli florets. Add ½ = 1 tsp salt. Return to a boil then reduce heat and simmer 5-8 minutes. Drain. Cooking a whole trimmed heat takes 10 – 15 minutes. Serve plain, buttered or with the following cheese sauce.

Cheese Sauce:


  •  • 2 T. butter
  • • 2 T. flour
  • • 1 c. Milk
  • • 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • • ¼ tsp. salt
  • • 1/8 tsp pepper

 Directions: Melt butter. Blend in flour. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add salt and pepper. Serve over cauliflower or other vegetables.
