• 6 c. chopped broccoli, cooked
  • 2 c. diced cooked chicken
  • 4 T. butter
  • 2 T. chopped onion
  • 4 T. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • ½ c. shredded cheese
  • 2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt


Peel any tough stems before cooking broccoli.  Place cooked broccoli in a casserole.  Sprinkle chicken over broccoli.  Melt butter in a skillet.  Sauté onion until tender.  Blend in flour.  Gradually add milk stirring constantly until sauce thickens and boils.  Add remaining ingredients.  Stir until cheese melts.  Pour over chicken.  Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.  Variation:  Replace chicken with cooked ham.
